HOW WE WORK
What happens on the day
- We check the chimney stack from outside – the pot, the height and any cowls or birdguards.
- We lay plastic sheeting followed by a cloth sheet to protect your carpets and flooring.
- We visually inspect the fireplace or stove and as far up the flue as possible to choose the right rods and brushes.
- We seal the fireplace or stove so soot and dust can't escape into the room.
- With the industrial vacuum running, we sweep the full height of the chimney, then remove the rods one at a time.
- We clean the area, inspect the flue again and leave the fireplace spotless.
- You receive a chimney sweeping certificate detailing the work and any issues found.
Open fire vs stove sweeping
Open fireplaces: we use firm rods with large traditional brushes.
Stoves & liners: we use flexible rods and smaller brushes to protect the liner.

TERMS
Pricing terms & conditions
- Preparation: please don't use the appliance for 24 hours before your appointment, remove ash and debris from the grate and leave around 6ft clear in front of the fireplace.
- Cancellations: to reschedule or cancel, please call 07583 565623 by noon the day before.
- Gas fires: some gas fires must be disconnected by a Gas Safe registered engineer before sweeping – arranged by the customer at their own cost.
- Payment: due at the end of each appointment. Card payments preferred.
- Inspections: brief visual inspections are carried out in good faith. Due to the concealed nature of chimneys, they are not a guarantee that an appliance or chimney is free of faults.
- Your chimney is swept by a professional sweep assessed to national standards and registered with the Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps.
